New series. In this series I go over the history of pokemon including their meta relevance in GBL. In the series I will go over important information like stats, moveset, and typings; what seasons the pokemon were relevant in and why; and how to team build with the pokemon.

This channel is where you come if you want ideas for:
Great League Teams
Ultra League Teams
Master League Teams
Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.
This is going to be the best team building video you watch.

First, thanks for the content as always
8:00 I’m just getting screwed by the algorithm I switch my teams for what I’m seeing and the algorithm won’t give me a break. I’ve dropped almost 200 mmr
And people still say algorithm is nota thing, can still win games But come On, delusional if you dont Think you get double countered if you swap out slmetimes
Daddy Dan comin' at ya with another banger 🎉
This cup is rough if you don't have the meta. I keep getting up 200 points then face the wall teams like liki, annhilape, skarmory, etc. and go back down. I guess if you are willing to spend the dust, you deserve the wins here. I just play to get the dust during this week.
Yup, you've spent the dust. I wish you all the best on your run to Legend
This catch cup made me learn how to use the freaking Wiggly. Now I get why people have been using it so much during this season
If you have ASlash that was my MVP for my legend run. Good play against flyers, even Mantine, and feasts on steels/rocks.
Just accept that there’s an algorithm 💤🤦
i play trail blaze ampharos and hit ace for the first time with it jellicent and gligar/annih
i have no weaknesses to ground and see like 1-2 ground types a match in this meta, they just are everywhere atm
I hit legend a couple days ago in this cup and I absolutely suck, if I did it you should have this in the bag
I feel the pain of the Hard Counter, idk if id call it the dreaded Algorithm.
But i climbed 225-250 ELO from 2200 to 2400ish (relatively new serious battler) after finally adding Lanturn to my team to counter Mandibuzz and Mantine.
Suddenly like 4 games had Quag and either variation of Stunfisk. I added Vic with Magical Leaf to adjust, and suddenly the flyers or some random fire like Salazzle or Turtonator was there to punish my adjustment. Luckily i only fell 30-40 points after a couple 2-3 sets but it was still very irritating to try and adjust accordingly and lose the next games solely because i adjust to what i was being countered by.
I still have a day of this stupid cup
Wiggly, shadow crocodile, lanturn is the best
At this point it’s open great league
Just wanted to drop by and say thank you for your content this season! Appreciate your insights and help!
can u talk about wat are some good teams for ultra league
If you still think there is an algorithm when every high level actuall good battler tells you there is not and one absolute idiot tells you there is “POKEAK” aka POKEJOKE your just not smart and also very very bad at this game
If the game randomly matched you with ppl in your Elo range, there wouldn’t be a problem. But it is clear as day that there is an additional “algorithm” that takes into account your specific team and move types included. It will throw you easy wins as well as hard counters. And it doesn’t matter the fact that some ppl can climb and get to legend, the real problem is it’s not random. Which makes it malicious in nature.
I went from 2250-2450, have been hanging around 2400-2480 for the past 3 days but I keep getting hard countered whenever I get close to a set that’ll push me over 2500, just want to reach 2500 but niantic are just…
you've been on a winning streak so the matchmaking algorithm decided you needed harder counters. but it's clear from your videos that if you are a talented battler you can find your win conditions.
An attack weighted Charjabug can beat vigoroth in CMP
Funny you should mention that if you had a Mantine you'd be running: Mantine, ape, Lantern. Because that's what I WAS running until I saw 3 Unovan stunfisks in a single set and swapped the mantine out. I've been seeing that silly little pancake everywhere (2700s elo here btw)
It’s funny that people being paid & or sponsored by Niantic completely dismiss that there’s an algorithm. This isn’t new. Many games openly tell players that you can set settings via beginner, medium, difficult etc. There’s games that openly state that if you don’t select a setting that the difficulty will go on a sliding scale ranging from 1, novice, and the more you win as high as 12. This feature is already existing in games today with half of Niantic’s budget. Also, you can make a case why they have an algorithm. Not enough players. Sometimes they do need AI to fill in for gamers to play. Of course there’s an algorithm. It’s obvious & yes, I do think either the move-set or the moves help their system. My guess & it’s just a wild guess & my own conspiracy theory tbh is that Niantic’s settings are on very high right now to create a challenge & also maybe to get people to pay their content creators to get better at the game i the future.
How does one submit battles to you?
These comments are triggered about the algorithm comments sheesh lol
Ice punch over night slash?
I finally pushed Legend with Whiscash, Charjabug, Skarmory.
Electric really can carry during this catch cup.
After struggling so much (mostly cause most of my sets are rushed when I'm at work) and hitting legend I went 9-1 coulda been easy 10-0 (bad mistake) streak with Charjabug, Annihilape, Poliwrath.
Breaking 2850-2950 range always seems the hardest. Once you inch past legend it always feels much easier as people tend to play around more.
Good luck on Legend! I can just mess around this last week again.
Just hit legend for the first time. Feeling on top of the world
I think a good way for everyone to look at the algorithm argument is like this.. whether you believe it’s out to get you or not.. build your team like it is going to be hard countered. Find what you want to lead with preferably something with one 1 or 2 weaknesses. Then have mon that hits those types for S/E dam. Know what your safeswaps worst match up is and your third mon should counter the safeswaps weakness, preferably where it will only take resisted damage. If you can keep shields and get energy you can flip a lot of matches on that third mon reveal.
