great video dan
At 1:55 you say baiting is the only wincon, that's not correct, there is also the wincon of going EQ right away and have them not shield because they are calling a bait.
Thanks for the awesome info! I didn't realize you could transfer faster moves like counter. I'v been working on transferring long moves Iike incinerate and confusion but I thought it had to be a higher turn move.
Thanks i am stuck in Ace for so long hope i hit legend
This is awesome, thanks.
Out of context, but by any chance would you be featuring a team using florges anytime soon ?
I've been hitting Legend several seasons but I'll still watch this
Great video Dan! When it comes to counting moves, do you just have to memorize the meta, or is there any way to observe and react in game to 1-2-3-4-5 turn moves?
Thank you for this helpful video!
This is A+ content, Dan. Can you do something that explains overtapping and undertapping? What they look like, when to do them (under) when to make sure you don't (over) etc? It isn't super clear to me what it really looks like as I saw you spam to try to get the charge move off on the Typhlosion in the last video but I thought that was what overtapping was and that was bad. Could use some clarity on that.
Meanwhile, floating around in Expert still feeling like I'm not putting a purpose on half of what I'm doing haha.
I like that concept of the 5 matchup scenarios (hard win, soft win, hard loss etc) and I wonder if there's potential to elaborate on that further, like what to do based on those conditions. Obviously there's a ton of Pokémon and thus matchups but maybe a few guidelines could help.
Thanks so much! Hoping to hit expert again. Currently 2740. Finished all my sets
Last season I plateaued at 2960. I’m back to the 2900s and the move transfer advice definitely comes in handy. Great tips.
Great educational video! …however I've already been doing all of the above and still stuck in Ace (~2400) every season lol
Such an informative video. Thanks Dan
Thanks. 🙏 Is there a way to see what fast move the opponent is running? Does it say or do I need to learn the way different fast moves perform?
That “switch Pokemon “ BUG is 🤯😡 Any tips to avoid? Happening at least once a round, blocking me from firing charged moves. As they make billions, the gameplay is deteriorating…
Good advise
Funny thing is that I didn't see much difference in skill between some 1800 players and 2700 so I'm confused by all of that. Like after 1800 everyone already uses meta Pokémon. I don't care much but still I'm spending enough time on this game, I think matchmaking algorithm is annoying problem. Also. I'll never hit a legend because I like to use Pokemon that I like instead of good ones. Like I have built Stunfisks, Azzus,Togekiss and stuff like that but I rather use Aerodactyl, Alakazam, Elaktabuzz and stuff like that
I hear the terminology and ABB style team but I don't know what this means, can anyone help explain this please?
Like I uploaded this https://youtu.be/1sgtrqymvP4 just to prove more interesting fights are at Ace Level than at the top. Don't worry, you cab watch the vid, I'm not building channel, I thought it was fun and it had most of the stuff Dan talked about at lower level.
Hola Dan, muchas gracias por compartir tu experiencia en el juego, creo que es una de las explicaciones públicas más puntuales y concretas que hay a día de hoy, gracias por hacer accesible tu contenido con subtítulos, saludos desde México. Dios te bendiga a ti y tu bella familia.
Fantastic video Dan, thank you!
Great video! Thank you so much
Awesome video and content. Can. you do one on your thoughts when to shield and when not to shield. I know shielding ties into other things like spotting potential teams. It helps to see what your thought process might be in those seconds of to shield or not to shield?
This is a really good video! These techniques are what propel you past 3000. You always want to be counting your oppoonents fast moves; however current state of the game makes that pretty inconsistent.
Dudes voice is so calming
Good video as always
Thanks Dan, this is good stuff! 👍😊
Some real treasure over here man! Could almost wish more people viewed this video because it truly deserves tens of hundreds of views but then again it won't be a treasure for those of us who watch it, right? 😊 My subscription status went from Personalised to 'ALL' let's go Dan! 💪🏾💪🏾
Great tips and explanations and I like the examples too, much more helpful than telling someone what not to do.
If possible I'd like to see a video on charged move timing in relation to opponents fast move turns. I still don't know whens the optimal time to throw a charged move and how much to overcharge. Wallower has a video on this technique but it's so confusing and his examples leave a lot to be desired.
Amazing skills!
thanks for the tips & tricks!!!
The jumping around game was crazy, so well thought of.
Transferring damage part is an Insane !
1st Great content! Helpful in many ways!
21:50 Urgh that bug! I don't count how many times it happened to me! Only thing I do when I see it is hope the opponent is throwing soon to make it go away since I have no access to my charge buttons. Losing a game when you have it normally secured due to all these bugs sux. A +15 turning into a -15 makes a 30pts difference which counts when you are pushing to legend! Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this specific bug like pressing the back button of your phone?
5:08 Right here, I don't think it always works to predict an opponent's team. Because in this scenario, what if the opponent runs a fire type at the back, and they just safe swap to Togekiss to draw out a poison type or something? With this, they can most likely sacrifice the Togekiss and maintain switch advantage. The fire at the back would then be able to sweep the escav.
Dan thanks for the videos and the tips.
Last season I hit legend in the final weak of GBL for me and my son's account thanks to the team you recommended – Trevenant, Azu, Skarmony. Without which I just could not have made it.
This season I was hovering between 2400 and 2800 ELO. I count moves, I throw at the right timing, but I just couldn't climb higher and don't seem to have any chance of hitting legend. Then I watched this video (since I watch all your videos) last week. And I have hit legend on my son's account. If I have time to battle tomorrow, I should be able to hit legend since I won 5-0 twice, and 4-1 twice today.
This hopefully will be my last serious Pogo PvP season, since I think I am spending too much time on it haha. But thank you.
Will be one of your first Patreon / Youtube supporter when you turn on that option.

Fantastic video
It’s hopeless for me. Started 4-1 then had 4 0-5 sets so yes that is a 20 loss streak I’m on
Great Video Dan 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️💜
Your such a cool guy and I appreciate your videos immensely, I am level 20, and I am excited to be playing with some Ace players since I have been watching your videos. Is that what usually happens when you are crossing the bridge between level 20 and level 21, will I encounter more and more players that are Already Ace level? I’m kinda on my own and I still don’t understand exactly how the reward and point system works as you progress. Thanks again ❤️
On the recognizing team. I know I would of pulled out my obstagoon and been stuck when he switches from Walren to charmer. And lost. Def need some practice still.
Is there a website where it shows common teams ? Because I’m terrible at recognizing teams. I know walren usually comes with Trev. But even here I was wrong.
In the first scenario in this video: If you know that your opponent knows that your only win con is to icicle spear bait then Earthquake, sometimes going straight Earthquake is the correct call if you expect your opponent to make the “correct” call and no shield the icicle spear. I’ve won several matches this way. Below ~2300 ELO you can almost be certain the opponent will shield. It’s a giant mind game. Sometimes you’re right, sometimes you’re not.
Best content
Very helpful, thanks Dan
Why did the shield turn blue when machamp threw rs at zard?? That was weird
Don’t be a target of the algorithm
Cant for the life of me pass 2700 elo lol
Brilliant!
Have a really nice day everyone everywhere!
