Some dude tried to say AK is complaining about the algo in lower ranks and I told him "wouldn't that make the algo more real since it also appears in lower ranks" and this dude deleted the comment lol. PokeAK, keep up the good work!

The other day I did a nice test on the algorithm, ran triple bug/flying for a set, hard countered by a rock lead all but 1 match, last match was hard countered by triple fire/flying, the algorithm is ridiculous

Try the opposite, I'm losing on purpose right now and the game is trying so hard to make me win, in my last 5 matches it paired me 3 times with very low cp opponents and the other 2 top left soon as the battle started

Last season catch cup I was lucky enough to catch my best carbink paired with Gligar and Jellicent.
Crossed 26 wins in a row and started getting straight Magnet Bomb Magnemites, Discharge Stunfisks and Ice Punch Poliwraths.
I get that its catch cup, but I was literally being hard countered with magnemite (counters jelli and Carbink) every other match.
PS: MAGNEMITE MAGNET BOMB ENERGY REQUIREMENT IS WAY TOO LOW

Single move etc. I’m at rank 6 and it’s still pairing me with rank 1’s to give me a chance. When I used to play ( and had a full roster of xl mons etc) it would always up my level accordingly ie when I was at rank 6 I would play people at rank 5/6/7. Just enjoy the ride. It’s possible to hit legend with a consistent team etc/but it’s rigged at times for sure

I think I know how the algorithm works. I’m not 100% sure but just a theory. You have a high elo (win/loss ratio) so it’s trying to throw difficult matchups at you to try to derank you. Meanwhile other players have a horrible elo so it’s trying to give them easy wins by giving them favorable matchups. So I bet when you run into a hard counter lead, it’s someone significantly worse than you that the algorithm is trying to give an advantage to. Again, just my theory. But I’d be willing to bet that’s what’s happening. Regardless of how or why it’s happening, I think this video is irrefutable proof that it is indeed happening. But just based off watching you play, you’re a lot more skilled than most people, so I bet that is why it’s happening.
