*This* is why Nintendo and TPCi are so protective of their IP.

Bootleg Philippines NFT company uses Make-a-Wish and Pokemon to try to get some fast cash, Ravioli Man covers a booth in Ravioli. That’s the highlights.

I love how that guy on X was putting RAVIOLI MAN in all caps, just like they did with names in the original Pokemon games.

I think there was at least SOME reason to go. Veronica Taylor was there, for example. She wasn’t paid, but that’s something.

I think it’s a few steps above the Willy Wonka experience for that alone. I feel this is a weak attempt at trying to kickstart another “whacky viral sensation.”

Honestly? I’m willing to bet shitty events like this have been happening for years and years, largely going unreported. When the Willy Wonka thing happened, every shitty event was suddenly getting reported on, and immediately click-bait titles happen for every single one, often comparing it to the Willy Wonka event.

This is not that by a long shot. This was a shitty event, but it had some things going for it despite the shit. Willy Wonka had less than nothing.

Maybe everyone should stop paying top dollar for “fan made experiences” that’re just fold out tables in a warehouse.

I do WAY better events at my small private school for my students.

    For free.

I love how OP just starts typing in caps and becoming more hectic it was like reading the itchy tasty journal in Resident Evil ☠️

Did not see the RAVIOLI MAN coming.

It’s not as bad as Dashcon or Willy Wonka Experience, but it’s still god awful.

First Willy Wonka, then Bluey, and now Pokémon. No family-friendly IP is safe.

Did Nintendo approve this? because this is exactly why they don’t let anyone use their IP.

    > Enter THE RAVIOLI MAN.

    > This guy was eating sauce off a ravioli jar in his pocket. It seemed to be a filthy frank style prank there there were children under five running around the space and he smelled ROT.

    > Security refused to do anything despite several congoer’s reports.

    > Eventually RAVIOLI MAN was escorted out but only after he took a sponge and started rubbing it on one of the sponsors booths.

    > Though later in the EXPO, security still let him back in.

Not even the airtight security could stop RAVIOLI MAN, for he is an unstoppable force that has plagued conventions since the dawn of time.
