AR+ is only forced if you choose to be using AR, and since GO Snapshot is always AR, it is now always AR+ – as you showed, this is easily bypassed by just using your buddy since your buddy lets you turn AR off completely now bc they know we use buddy photo just to get the heart and rarely to actually take a photo. Honestly I think it's an alright compromise since GO Snapshot was always better with AR+ lol

You can still switch off AR in the general main menu
you can turn off the AR for your buddy in the settings

Anyone can help me? I specially bought the Pokemon Go Plus Plus for the sake of nightcap Snorlax. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to track sleep. Must I turn on the plus plus to track the sleep? But it will automatically turn off by itself after one hour. So, how do I track the sleep without turning on the plus plus? How to keep track the sleep data? My side now already past 8am, it didn’t complete the task for one day of sleep track.
