Pokemon Masters Lore You Didn’t Know

Having played over 500 hours of Pokemon Masters and also having a fondness for Pokemon lore, I wanted to go through some cool story beats and moments that are hidden in Pokemons flagship mobile game.

  1. Does this elevate Ball Guy to the best or the worst Pokemon character? I can't decide lol

  2. I am curious to hear your opinions on the Family Ties event. So, if there is a second part I hope you can cover it.

  3. My favorite is that Elio and Selene's blank stares are canon. Also, May and Brendan don't even have shipping subtext anymore because the actual text is shippy enough.

  4. I misread the title as "Pokèmon Masters Love You Don't You Know" and was Very Very Confuse.

Torn between expecting a philosophical video essay and a very centrally themed VA reel here.

  5. Great video Mr Buddy, i love all the lore and interactions in Pokemon Masters and i would love for you to do more videos about it. I honesty wish we got more interactions with Ash and other game characters including the game versions of his friends and and all the different protagonists, i'm still waiting for the SV protagonists to appear in masters.

  6. It's been a personal fanfiction of mine of the ultimate Pokemon crossover. The Island of Pasio being the starting point that brings most of these protagonists together and their personalties based heavily on their Pokemon Adventures manga counterparts.
I like to imagine White seeing Pasio as a opportunity to advertise her company and getting in touch with actirs, entertainers and other talent. All the while filming the events around her like a youtuber as a oersonal oroject if hers.

  7. From what I understand, backstories mentioned in Masters are canon, but the events in the game are not.

Would be interested in you doing a sequel, maybe discuss some sync pair stories? For example, Cheren & Tornadus's seems to imply that there may be multiple of the legendary genies and that their true form (incarnate or therian) isn't static.

  8. There's crazier stuff in Masters and I'll petition the poképowers than be that one day, officially, they will all be announced canon

  9. The thing i like about masters is that they expanded on the stories of side characters in the mainline games that doesnt get more screentime there. Eusine story in Masters is one of the best character development ive seen here with the story of him chasing suicune. We need more of this Mr Buddy!

  10. A little more context on the Ball Guy event, Colress actually helped him cause all that chaos and I love him for that. Overall an unexpected but really fun event!

  11. I get so frustrated when people write off Pokemon Masters as some lame mobile game, they’re missing out on SO MUCH. Not just lore, but also cross-generational interactions between fan favorite characters, and new designs and costumes for different characters every month. The gacha isn’t even completely necessary, there’s a bunch of fairly strong characters you can get for free, and as long as you complete the first chapter of the story you have access to all the events. Seriously, this game is the reason I’m able to stay patient between news of the mainline games, it keeps me fed in the meantime.

  12. i cant play this game its literally illegal in my country and like i know there ways around tha but it feels like a lot of work for a silly gacha game

  13. the Pokémon Masters game that I can't play, but want to
(it never released and never will release here in The Netherlands)

  14. To those who have played Pokemon Masters, does anyone
know if Ash has crossed paths with Red? I mean I know
he's one of the special synced pairings. I'm just curious.

  15. Honestly a story explained of the entire two completed story arcs would be really cool. Especially the Villain Arc as it explores the potential of redeeming past villains and even continues off of the Rainbow Rocket Story

  16. Ball Guy going full terrorist is NOT the story I thought I'd ever get but it's the story I needed.

As for Volo and Cynthia, I can't outright argue with Volo's argument about becoming stronger through fighting for survival. Fighting for one's life will do that. But on the other hand, it's the bonds that form between brother-in-arms that truly push them to keep fighting and surviving. So there's merit to Cynthia's response.

Anyway, as someone who had been playing for a while, I heavily recommend you look into the story stuff and continue showing it off! There are some really nice character deep-dives the game go es into.

  17. This was all interesting and do a video on Ash’s Chapter in masters especially because of Red’s shown interest in Ash at the ending of the chapter.

  18. Don't let the "oh it's fine actually, it was just Colress setting him up for unfortunate situations" wrap up of that story fool you. Ball Guy is actually evil, I've been saying that since the release of SwSh.

  19. Honestly, I think Volo's view of Pokémon is more like "You can't know if you trust your Pokémon unless your life depends on it", rather than him treating his Pokémon as tools in fact. That's what it seemed to me from his words, at least. And considering that he comes from a time when humans and Pokémon literally lived in disharmony and fought against each other, it's the most "friendship" he can offer his Pokémon given the context of his experience. The proof of this is that when N meets Volo and his Togepi, he reads Togepi's heart and says that she feels happy to be very well taken care of by Volo
