So. Terrakion.
I saw a lot of talk about how it and Moltres are very similar and while I do see the point, Terrakion is much harder in my opinion.
First, you have to change stage conditions via weather or terrain or zone. And before you go “isn’t that just Moltres?” here’s the catch: the stage conditions aren’t permanent until you pass a certain HP threshold. Meaning you have yo for enough damage within the small window of time you have with the stage conditions up in order to kill Terrakion before it kills you.
Second, its passives. See, with Moltres, while you should change the weather so you don’t get killed, you don’t HAVE to. Imposter Oak demonstrated that nicely with their video on gauntlet teams against Moltres. With Terrakion, its not optional. I thought I could cheese it by taking advantage of debuff and condition passives for sync nukes on nukers, but seeing what little damage they did in perfect condition minus the usage of zones made me reconsider life. Not only do you need to change stage conditions to kill it, it WILL kill you regardless if you do it or not.
If you’re gonna slam me for not knowing this, keep in mind the only time I fought Terrakion was when it first dropped just for the rewards and I used a meme team of SS Steven, SS Lusamine, and SS May as the tank.
So, taking into account this, I did break a couple rules/restrictions I imposed onto myself to make this F2P friendly. One: I allowed the usage general gacha pool units, two: I allowed the usage of lodge units of general gacha pool units, and three: I did use 3/5 5* story sync pair units. These restrictions still applied:
– No Master BP Pair units
– No Event units
– No Poke Fair or Master Fair units (so no SS Steven sweep sadly)
– No Limited Lodge Units
I strongly recommend you swap out units with better ones (if you have them). In my defense for breaking the rules, Legendary Gauntlet isn’t exactly catered towards fresh out of the oven players who just started playing last week, it’s moreso aimed at players who have been playing consistently over the past six months I’ll say. So allowing the use of gacha (general pool not even the limited pool come on dawg) pairs for this video is fair.
No, there will not be a 30 team sweep I already almost pulled my hair out making this.
I am going to be a little messy in the video and just include the sync grid and lucky skills at the end of each battle. Watch the clears for the strategy to use for each stage.
