Nintendo has notoriously been tight-lipped about the developers of their games until they release as of late, and people often speculate about who developed them before they release. Something I haven't seen speculation about though is who developed the upcoming Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition.
I think that it's developed by Nintendo Software Technology (NST).
Here's my reasoning:
- This just feels like something that would be cooked up by Nintendo of America. The whole concept of Nintendo World Championships has always been their thing.
- Aesthetically, it looks like NST. It has a "quirky fun" style that has always been unique to their presentation.
- Almost all of the marketing has been in English and focused around America.
- It looks like it's made on a very low budget, and NST's games always have been.
- According to the Japanese site the games in it are based on the North American releases, even in the Japanese release.
Because of this, I'm pretty sure the dev is NST.
