Last picture is unrelated, but it’s funny
The general gist is that we wanted a more cat like Eevee evolution, so we took some design elements from leopards and its conception. The final design was going to have square leopard like spots all over its body, but we thought that was too visually cluttered and was distracting from the main element We’re trying to present.
So in the end, we decided to go for a hybridized approach by mixing elements from leopards, lynxes, and scorpions. The leopard element would subtly rise up in the form of the spots on this evolutions forehead, also making it look like the poison status condition symbol.
This design is old and could definitely use some freshening up (along with some other designs…)
But hey, at least I got a proof of concept type of thing
