This is a really rough sketch for an idea I had for a Pokémon. Basically, the idea is that this Pokémon invades, not only wild Pokémon encounters, but also certain types of trainer battles; turning them to 1V2 battles.
This is inspired by both real life, invasive fish species, like tiger, fish, and the fictional deviljho from the monster Hunter series
effectively, it’s a totem support Pokémon that doesn’t need to be summoned more so that it just lets itself in uninvited
The deviljho part of its inspiration is that it shows up, literally anywhere, despite the fact that it’s a fish.
Blazing volcano? Fish
Frigid tundra? Fish
Rocky terrain? Surprise surprise: Fish.
I want this design to be equal parts, goofy, intimidating, and the kind of design that makes you go: “oh man, not this again!”
