Beat Red for my first-time Crystal run!

I was actually doing pretty well for a good bit into the battle. I was scared because every hit would usually do about 2/3 of a pokemon's health, but I had a very generous supply of revives and hyper potions/lemonades. Then… Snorlax was brought out, the 5th of the 6 on Red's team, and I could tell it's body slam was going to be a big problem if it kept hitting.

I decided to switch to a sort of attrition style. What I would do is use flash on it right away with quagsire, and every time I would get hit, use a potion. If it ever missed, I would have enough health to use flash again and tank the following hit. I was able to lower it's accuracy to where I couldn't lower it anymore but then it just started spamming amnesia and rest, so I used this time to heal and revive any fainted pokemon. After that, I switched to my miltank and used rollout, and thankfully the 4th and 5th turns of the move were able do enough damage to take out huge chunks of Snorlax's health while it was freshly rested.

After that, Blastoise was the last one left. I was panicking, because it's surf move was doing a lot of damage. I decided to do a repeat of the flash and heal strat from before. It wasn't looking good as I was running out of potions, but after enough time, once it was missing a majority of it's attacks, I was able to finish it off.

Honestly…after all that, I think I had more trouble with the Elite Four and Lance than I did Red, tbh. Back then, my team levels were mid-30s to early 40s, and I was fighting for my life every battle. I was sweating when I got to Lance because I actually ran out of revives completely. This wasn't as bad I think, which is strange considering the huge level gap. In the end, I think it's due to me having a ton of revives and potions like I mentioned earlier, and trying a new strategy that actually turned out pretty well.
