I’ve been looking forward to the Dark Type Damage Challenge! Well actually, this is one of the types I wouldn’t have minded if it was a Singles one instead of 3 opponents! Either way, I’m happy with this!
I was up early for when the Psychic Single Damage Challenge wrapped up, and I was around when I was playing around with Olympia in place of Lucian, and I think they did similarly well, but Olympia was 3/5 instead of 5/5 like Lucian. Then reset for the next day happened and I jumped into the Dark Damage Challenge against Blue!
This was against 3 enemies, so this was easily the perfect opportunity for Neo Champion Marnie + Galarian Moltres to thrive! Sadly, her EX role (Support) doesn’t come until later this month so that was a shame. On top of that, I was one day away from unlocking Akari’s EX Role too, for a tiny bit more damage, but meh. Despite these little things, I had fun getting a high score here!
It started fairly differently though. Of course, I couldn’t not use Neo Champion Marnie + Galarian Moltres, but I also tried out other Dark Zone users, whether it was Neo Champion Calem + Greninja, or Sygna Suit Cyrus + Darkrai. I managed to get a solid score of 1.2M with NC Marnie, SS Cyrus and Neo Champion Blue + Zapdos which was awesome, and there was less of the usual status spam, but it still turned out decently, despite it not feeling like that’s the best I can do.
I then looked at some other videos, and I noticed a pattern…the teams included NC Marnie, Akari and Barry and Roserade! I have all 3, due to that lucky 3000 Gem roll on the 72h Banner with Akari! I would have settled fine with just SS Cyrus in Akari’s place, but this works well imo, and with inspiration from videos below, I was able to get an even higher score and feel satisfied with this result!
I am so loaded on Dark Zones pairs now, and I haven’t even bought the Marnie + Scrafty Sync Pair yet!
