Man I did nyc go fest and they did nothing for the 5 crashed raids I had. And the only shiny rayquaza I’ve seen in my 50 raids crashed and wouldn’t let me catch. Smh I hope they fix these
I never got backgrounds either and I did all mine in person

I don't think it means you'll get 50 encounters if you did 50 raids, I'm pretty sure it will be scaled so if you did say under 10 remote raids you won't get the research, 10-20 you'll get 1 full set, 20-30 you'll get 2 full sets etc. or potentially there will just be a threshold to get the research e.g. more than 15 remote raids and you get it, under 15 and you don't or something like that.
I hope it comes out before the scubachu event 🫠🫠

I did A Number of remote raids on Day One of Global GO Fest, and I just figured there weren't any special backgrounds for whatever reason, because I got NONE, and I did something like 20 ~ 30 remote raids that day.
I do NOT see me getting 100% make-up on these raids. Special backgrounds were supposed to appear on a certain PERCENTAGE of Pokemon caught from raids (10%? 15%? I don't recall), not all of them, so I will likely get the chance to catch 2 ~ 5 Pokemon from this make-up research.
should just do a make up day instead a raid day like lucario and refund the raid passes because they going to average it out so you not going to get exact amount of encounters people could do the raids again would get more rewards than just a pokemon encounter and since that event had unlimited remote raids that bonus could come back so could use it on any raid you could remote.

I did 37 remote raids on day 1 (that I still have in my storage) so hopefully I can get some good things
I didnt event get special background from raids I hosted, how is that possible? I raided a few pheromosas, xurkitree, kartana, guzzlord, I only got one special background which was ironically from a remote raid. I also did not get any special background from other ultra beats I raided through remote raid pass

Niantic is just trying to publicly encourage whaling. They know who pays the bills and its not people buying in person passes with gym coins(me).
I did get one background buzzwole on day 1 but I’ll take the extra encounters
There was a 1/10 or 1/25 ratio to get the chance for a special background. So if you did 50 raids, you potentially would have received around 5 with the special background. So they will award you 5 encounters.
i only did 1 necrozma raid during day 1 of global go fest via remote raid pass and i did not get a special background with it

My first Necrozma raid on Saturday was a shiny catch card background 15-14-10
