No offense, but of all the updates they could do for this, they chose the Pokémon game that has a remastered switch version of the exact game?
Saying this as a big fan of mystery dungeon.

Many people, myself included, were not impressed with some of the changes they made in that remaster. It’s honestly wonderful they are putting this on the emulator for Switch but the speed at which they’re releasing these older games is ridiculously slow. We could have easily had this and the mainline Pokèmon games way before now. Not exactly sure what the holdup is but it’s definitely disappointing that it’s taking them this long.

Eh, most people don’t care about this. There’s a full-blown remake of it already on Switch.
Wouldn’t surprise me if The Pokemon Company and Game Freak were working on some kind of subscription called Pokemon Pass. Pay an annual fee and you’ll get all the classic Pokemon games…maybe even DS/3DS ones on Switch 2.
Otherwise there’s really no reason why the Switch, in it’s 8th year, doesn’t have the main games.

I’m guessing it’s because this is the only Mystery Dungeon title that doesn’t use the touch screen, regardless of the remake. While I did enjoy the remake, the sprite work and music in the older Mystery Dungeon titles is something everyone should experience… they blow the mainline games out of the water sometimes.

I played Explorers of Darkness when it came out but haven’t played the originals. Would people recommend this or getting the remake that came out?
