I think it's a strategy. Leak and hide…it's builds buzz and makes people talk, post and make videos about the news more than they normally would.
I’m guessing zacian and zamazentas new forms will be a lot like mega ray, with exclusive items that they control the number you get

Unsure if they’ll release shiny Zacian and Zamazenta in raids. In the main series the shiny was only obtainable through a gift obtainable via code (long expired by now). So I’d expect more of a timegated mess of a masterwork for the shinies.
I really don't understand why, there's literally no reason to hide the release details. More information on the upcoming season is good. It's going to be revealed one way or another.
How is any of this a secret? Dynamax is related to the darkest day, a cataclysmic event that was thwarted by Zacian and Zamazenta in the main series lore, so it makes perfect sense to re-release them for the season that introduces gen 8 wave 1.
We have to remember. Niantic is not a gaming company. They are a data mining company with a video game front. So nothing they do is good for us or makes sense lol
