Now that’s look like a pokemon

Personally I’d at least keep Flamigo’s great face and beak, but I like what you did with the feathers

I wouldn’t pick blue but this is really good. Gives it concepts it couldn’t grasp originally like “A design” or “theming”

I actually prefer the original, mostly for the brighter shade of pink and the simplicity. This guy’s blue tufts look a bit random, and sort of evoke toasty winter coat, which is odd for a warm-weather bird.

Looks like not only an actual Pokémon now, but maybe an Ice-type regional form? *Anything* for Flamigo would make it better, honestly, and this is no exception!

Im not much a fan of the face personally, but the rest looks great.

I’m not sold on the wings, but it’s looks pretty good. It looks like an actual pokemon, but I still like my perfectly normal and mundane flamingo

I’m not fond of it . . . AS A REWORK. Flamigo had a mild boxer theme and this goes in a more 80’s dancer direction, which is I think close to when the plastic lawn flamingo started to be popular but, again, Flamigo has the fighting type, it’s body kinda looks like a boxing glove and it almost has a black split lip from being slugged in the face. It’s an attempt, but the best one out there, to be a boxing glove bird with a flamingo. It’s great but i can see the attempt and this loses all that energy.

That’s not to say it’s a ‘bad’ design. IN fact as far as pokmon flamingo designs it’s better then Flamigo. It has strong 80’s energy and a firm grasp of that concept and use of the base animal to convey that idea better then Flamigo. It even has the same ‘lean into wild bird mating dances’ idea but does so in a way that does not step on quaquaval toes, totally different energy. But it being a Flamigo rework holds it back as a design and to make it had work abandoning what little Flamigo had going for it for something.

My core idea here is abandon the Flamigo connection and take the 80’s Flamingo in it’s own direction. it’s core idea is strong enough to carry it without needing to be a rework.

While it does look less like a normal flamingo, I don’t think it really looks like a Fighting type. It looks more like a Fairy type with that color palette and the placement of the fluffy frills.

Nope, Flamigo is a boxing glove/flamingo, this looks cool, but everyone complaining doesn’t get how to design

LOVE the design, but it doesn’t scream fighting type. 🙁
I agree with like flying fairy or flying ice regional. Great design overall though!

I’m not as big a fan of it as the original, but I’m biased because Flamigo is my favorite pokemon

  13. Freddie_Fishton

it reminds me of Sylveon… i love it!

I like it! The original is still fine, and this looks like a nice regional variant or alternate form of sorts! Maybe with a different typing even?

I mean.. it could def be an evo.. does the best allow it.. no…
But dies this look like a step up?? 10000%

THANK YOU😭😭😭 I have argued that Flamigo is thelaziest pokemon design in the history of pokemon since I first saw it and instantly hated it. This is so pretty and looks amazing! I’ve considered redesigning it completely to fit a flamenco inspiration personally, but this is great.

This is good but it doesn’t look like a Fighting Type it looks more like a Water Type imo i think it would be amazing as a Reigonal Form or something but not a Redesign
