Magearna! Strike her down!
Ok it’s not quite like that, but still, Sygna Suit Gladion and Magearna are just amazing, and I think Volo & Togepi and Neo Champion Blue & Zapdos definitely pulled their weight as well. There were some mistakes I made along the way (NC Blue not being able to heal up as much as possible) but somehow I was able to barely clear it, even when Volo also went down too.
I also believe this is the 3rd Ultimate Battle I’ve beaten (only beaten Lucy’s Entangling Venom and Leon’s Unbeatable Blaze) so I’m happy to add this on to the list. I wonder if there are more I am able to pull off, but not sure right now. I feel like Giovanni’s Destructive Power could be feasible for me with the Dark types I have available, but not too sure sadly.
But back to this specific one against Evelyn, I did have to restart a few times, and there were times where things didn’t go to plan, like with underestimating how much the supporting enemies (Hydreigon and Dragapult) would do to Zapdos but surprisingly I was able to pull through. I suppose there was also some luck with Volo’s random debuffs too, as well as Flinch chances. However, by the time I did lose Zapdos, the enemies were very low on HP so even then, it was all still feasible. However, if there was a time for an enemy to be unable to move due to being Paralyzed, it happened when I needed it most in the end!
All in all, I can definitely see why this Super Serious stage is a brutal one, but somehow I pulled through, and I don’t think it would have been done without Sygna Suit Gladion and Magearna, as well as a little bit of luck I think.
All of that for one extra scout for Arc Suit Cynthia…but at least I managed to beat the stage!
