This one sucked for me. It really was a case of either having SS Wally or really suffering from not having SS Wally. Other options included Bede & Hatterene (who I only had at 1/5), Volo & Togepi (who is only 2/5 and can be a little slow with moves) and I guess even Lodge Lillie & Comfey could have been solid…but I don’t know. But then there was Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna, who is busted but needs SS Wally to see his full potential. However, not being a Tech Sync Pair works against him. I almost considered not bothering to record a video due to how tedious this got, but suddenly had a lightbulb moment with how to go about this in terms of using both Fairy Zone and Status Spam…
In this video, I brought along Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna, Volo & Togepi and Melony & Lapras, Gladion for damage, Volo for Fairy Zone and additional support and Melony for Support and Status Spam. I mentioned Volo’s slow moves earlier, and while that is true, it is possible to take advantage of Masterful Metronome if it lands on Zap Cannon, meaning Paralyze Status (preferable over Burn and Poison) so it was cool to make that work, although it will have to require resetting because it’s Metronome after all! I did this a little similarly to the previous Fairy one against 3 enemies which went better I’d say, but I’d say overall I made the best of a rough situation.
With that said, it looks like next time is going to be an Ice Damage Challenge against 3 enemies. I don’t know who would be best that I have to work with, but ironically I see it being Irida & Glaceon despite being a Tech Sync Pair (Adaman moment) and unlike Adaman, she is at 3/5 instead of 2/5 so I am excited to see what I can pull off despite not having Strike to work with. Maybe my team can be something like Irida & Glaceon, Neo Champion Blue & Zapdos and Melony & Lapras? We’ll see!
