My fiance: I beat Larry!

My fiance: Yeah! But my pokemon won't listen to me….

Fiance: They keep ignoring me or turning away from battle
Me: That's odd… Maybe your catching them too high..?
Fiance: But even the ones I had prior aren't listening….
Me: …..Did…. did you do the other gyms…?
Fiance: No…?
Turns out my fiance took on Larry, Iron Treads, etc. with a pokemon team that doesn't listen, won, and still didn't understand that he skipped 3 gyms, some star camps, and other titans. My fiance also managed to catch a shiny Larvesta too, full odds random. And why did my fiance do all of this? Because he didn't look up a guide and relied upon Nurse Joy's directions.
