0:00 – Free Upgrade + Pattern
Finally got the best region as my free upgrade, but after playing this week I realized that I don’t actually have a lot of caked Hoenn units lmao. I also only have two Hoenn units with either the Sprint or Field role and both of them are named Wally, so this turned out to be harder than I thought it was gonna be.
0:10 – Strike + Tech vs. Fire-weak Grimsley: EX-R SC Barry / EX-R Classic Blue / EX-R Anni Lillie
I got Strike + Tech as my Area 1 AGAIN, but this turned out to be the other possible pattern from what I got last week. Funnily enough, this week I would’ve liked the Strike-heavy pattern instead because of my lack of Hoenn Field units.
1:56 – Tech + Support vs. NC Calem: EX-R SS Silver / EX-R NC Hop / EX-R Arven
I now have more than six Tech + Support units, so for rotational patterns like this I have the fun problem of choosing which ones to use and which ones to save for other potentially difficult combos. I only have one Hoenn unit among those so he’s definitely going to the other Tech + Support area.
4:24 – Support + Field vs. Isle Disciples, Arena Tycoon Battle Challenge: EX-R SS Morty / EX-R Mix Blue / EX Melony
This stage was meant for Greta, who would’ve been nice to have for this whole run lol. Since this stage favors physical moves, I didn’t go for a Hoenn unit and instead went with Melony to take advantage of the sleep weakness.
7:23 – Field + Sprint vs. Electric-weak Caitli: EX DC Wally / EX Nemona / EX-R Chase
When Wally gets his fifth unit, I really hope its base role is Field, so that all five of his units cover the five main roles. (Then he gets an Arc Suit for the base Multi role ofc)
9:18 – Sprint + Strike vs. We Should Battle Battle Challenge: EX-R SS Nemona / EX-R SS Gladion / EX Spring May
This stage was made for Nemona, and while I could’ve used her from the last battle, that would’ve made me miss extra points, so I pushed through with this team. At first I was trying to do this with just Sprint + Strikes but not having the upgrade bonus destroyed me, so I went with Spring May as a pseudo-tank.
11:51 – Strike + Tech vs. Rock-weak Kahili: EX-R NC Cheren / EX-R SS Hau / EX-R Lear
Had the same problem as the previous area here in that I didn’t have any Hoenn unit with this combo, but unlike that stage I managed to push through even without the upgrade bonus thanks to this being an easier stage.
14:31 – Tech + Support vs. Fighting-weak Karen: EX-R SS Steven / EX-R NC Serena / EX-R NC Calem
Thankfully easy, and Serena’s omnidebuffs takes care of the evasion buffs. SS Steven also helps with his own debuffs from Disarm.
17:09 – Support + Field vs. Lucky Area: EX-R Variety Thorton / EX-R Arc Steven / EX-R Trevor
I was seriously considering giving Rika a Field Cake for this, but in the end I didn’t go with it since I have another unit in mind for a Field Cake.
17:45 – Field + Sprint vs. Middle-Aged Opposites Battle Challenge: EX-R Anni24 Lillie / EX-R SS Wally / EX-R NC Rosa
Apparently this stage was made for Kabu and Larry even if it’s a Water-weak stage?? Had to rely on Rosa’s sleep spam for this while Lillie slowly whittled away the opponents’ HP. I didn’t use any of best boy’s TMs in case I needed him for the next area.
22:31 – Sprint + Strike vs. Darach: EX-R NC Silver / EX-R SS Lear / EX-R Arc Cynthia (+ Half Cake purchase)
Really lucky that I didn’t get one of the newly added UBs – and they tried, as both my Normal and Hard stages were Evelyn lol. I got pretty close to doing this without any items, but the lack of an upgrade bonus had me taking too much damage from the sync, so I bought a Half Cake to make it simple.

I havent gotten a lucky area in like 2 months :/
