Honestly I forgot about MP4 until like last night, mostly due to all the Switch 2 hype.

I think people have been waiting so long, it’s become normal. The anticipation won’t really hit until we get a more substancial trailer for it.

actually that’s Kinda crazy why didn’t it make the list it’s been hyped up for some time now the series has consistently gotten great reviews and been goty contenders like it seems like a massive oversight

Makes sense. Metroid has never been a big seller. The trailer for Metroid Prime 4 was also very underwhelming in my opinion. There wasn’t anything we hadn’t already seen before in previous Prime games aside from a fresh coat of graphics.

Well to be fair there’s a lot of interesting games that are supposed to come out next year already…. Plus we all know that Nintendo has a bunch of other titles they have hidden away to reveal later for the switch 2 launch year. And let’s not forget the fact that people have been waiting too long for this game, So it only makes sense that it isn’t that highly anticipated by a lot of people except for hardcore metroid fans

Two things, game awards aren’t exactly important. The other, Metroid fans finding out their series is actually relatively niche.

I did see the list of awards, the list is on many levels unrealistic. Take them with a grant of salt

“Most Wanted Game” seems like a terrible award category – you don’t see similar awards in movie, TV, or music. I’m not sure why video games have to be so hyped up

after seeing how most old Nintendo ips went downhill the last decade i can understand that Metroid prime fans dont want to see theier franchise becoming bland as well

On one hand, I understand as only just recently did MP4 finally get a trailer after so many years. GTA6 was in a similar situation, but is more popular.
On the other hand…the nomination list for that category is huge. They REALLY couldn’t replace one of the more unknown games in the list with MP4?

Metroid Prime 4’s hype didn’t survive the announcement of them scrapping their progress four years ago. the hype didn’t have the staying power of Elder Scrolls 6
