Do you have any friend that never open your gifts to control when you become besties? (I ellaborate below)

For months, these two guys have been avoiding to open my gifts, I assume they want to control the last one for the special egg (x2 in XP). l've been building up the friendship until 2 days left, but I won't be the one opening the penultimate. If the relationship has been reciprocate I don't care if you are the last one in opening, go ahead and good for you! But not this way… They can remove me, I don't care for XP that much.
