I'm hoping they will release a method to change Dynamax to Gigantamax and vice versa possibly via an item. In Sword/Shield, there exists Max Soup, which does this. I'm not sure how/if they will ever allow us to turn normal Pokemon into Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon, though.

I understand your frustration with the gigantamax pokemon somewhat. The thing is from now on we know how it works now and can act accordingly. For the starters it isntoonlate but from now on we can always wait for the gigantamax and only powernout dynamax pokemon that have no gigantamax form
Honestly think should implament a pokemon reset system like reset the pokemon to its wild lvls and be able to get half resources back 4 what ya u spent on it or implament a type exclusive candy like dragon, dark, water, fire etc.
These are worse elite raids
I would love to see what exactly (besides money) made niantic think “of course they shouldn’t be able to retroactively dyna/gigantamax pokemon”

I am not ashamed to admit that my response to Dynamax was essentially "cashing out" an alt account. Like so many others, I have a couple little baby accounts that violated ToS to make sure I could actually a) defend and b) knock out my main account from gyms. One had some ECTMs accumulated, a smattering of dust and some starter candies. With a good number of 2018 mons left on my main you can do the math as to how I was able to cover a lucky ectm'd dynamax Blastoise and Venasaur. Lucky Charizard Dynamax eluded me.
That's how fed up I am with re-release grinds… I'd rather splurge years worth of background resource accumulation than engage this game like it's some hardcore MMORPG.

I Power up to lv40 only 92+IVs, to 50 only hundo's and shundos
Also best ivs for PvP to league requirements only the top 50 of their own list.
That helps save quite some dust.
But you say in the city we can do a bunch of them.
Sorry to let you know but here even if the big city the metropolis so to say, we're refusing to do them all together because it's a bs mechanic, maybe the one as for a Dex entry but it stops there.

I just got back into the game only to be told that all those pokemon I maxed out years ago can't Dynamax/gygantamax, so I have to grind all over again….yeah nah.
If they don't plan to do it like megas (where all can do it) at least they can give the option to farm to give it to one poke. They even can add the limit of being able to do it once per week.
For me as of the announcement of Gigantimax battles and them possibly taking 40+ people to take down I'm done with both Dynamax and Gigantimax raids so I won't be doing them anymore I've completed the last family I needed for the current 1 star Dynamax raids and that's it I'm done I'm very much a solo player I've never had community and even though I have a ton of global friends the times I've invited people they never join me in raids I don't know if it's because I can't always join them or if it's something else but if any of my global friends see this it's not that I don't join because I don't want to it's because I don't always have remote raid passes, when I try to join the game won't let me because the lobby is full, the game can't find the lobby I'm trying to join, I don't always have the money to spend on pokemon go so it's not that I don't want to do the raid it is I can't always do them due to what I mentioned

They are not forcing me to play this game. It's a choice to play or not. Nobody is breaking our arms for it.
Never understood why people are hasty to power up. Do you need to be top damage in a raid of 10-20 people? Not like you need maxed mons for most raids. And if you do and are rural, just wait until just before the raid you want to grind to power up. You're hundo isn't going anywhere.

This entire max thing is worthless. It’s bogging down their servers causing all sorts of glitches. And the magenta gyms being everywhere clutters the map badly. Niantic needs to dump it. I’m not doing it.
either the current Dynamax obtaining method should be the one used only for Gigamax and every pokemon we had be able to dynamax from the begining.
or keep current the dynamax obtaining method and the gigamax be a megaevolution equivalent for those dinamax.
I just like regular raids, my son & I have done quite a few dynamax raids but this kind of stuff is getting old imho, I’m just grinding my way to level 50 & want some great legendary mons & the dust to power them up
This update had such a FOMO vibe that i had to uninstall.
either you spend money on the game now to keep competitive, you spend 8 hours a day playing, or you're a collector of whatever you end up with. I've reinstalled it like 3 times but my brain just wont let me play it again XD
As a new player dyna and gigantamax is a complete waste of time and candies
They forgot to add Special backgrounds/location cards in the chart. And of course you can have more layers for collectors, like lucky, hundo, nundo etc.
Not being able to use dynamax Pokemon in regular raids is so corny!
