Why does everyone forget about the Orange League? THAT was Ash's first league win, and don't tell me it isn't a 'proper' league, Alola's in the same boat!
Sun and Moon is my favourite Pokémon series because it was a breath of fresh air compered to the other series it was just plain old fun yes things went from 0-100 here and there but it never took away the goofy ness of the series.
For me, the best ones will be Ash from Sinnoh and Kalos. The development he has with Infernape and Greninja to get to the final fights is phenomenal. And Ash from Sun and Moon is also very good. His version from Journeys seems to have been nerfed, not in terms of power, but in terms of intelligence. He seems very dumb in some episodes, even in basic things like Pokémon typing.
Sorry but XY Ash was built different, he was a true Leader and so reflecting about his pokemon. He left an impression on everyone whom he met on his journey. If only he didn’t lose the final…

Johto ash should be ranked separately from OG ash cause even though he wore the same clothes and had the same partners, he was so much better in johto
