“It is therefore a great shame that there are a few things to complain about in the technical field. I can still live with the excess charging screens, but the performance is one thing. A stable frame rate is anything but present and although I already had these concerns during my preview session, I hoped this would be better in the final release. A limping framerate isn't necessarily something new when you're playing on the outdated Nintendo Switch, but in the case of Mario & Luigi Brotherhood, it actually affects the gameplay. When you have to dance to the beat or prepare a duo attack and one 'missed' note causes the attack to fail or the dance has to do again, this is quite frustrating.” (Translated of their 8.5 rated review)
