it would be best to go in with multiple of 4's because everyone would be divided up into groups of 4's (so when you heal, you're only healing withing your team of 4, if you're using a shield, then you would be the target to be attack from your group of 4), so instead of 6 like Poke AK said, it would be better with 8, 12, etc
You are wrong there is 10 players in that raid not 4

I got lucky with a hundo Beldum when it was here last time and 50 maxed it immediately! It was definitely worth the investment 💯

But they wont move the additional premier balls for gold button. It's in a scummy spot. The same spot most people spam while looking up at their surroundings.
Something I tested with my friends. We tried doing it just us 4 and did the metagross max guard strategy and we took no damage. UNTIL… a message popped up where he attacks saying, “Gengar is getting desperate” once gengar is in that mode he will one shot your pokemon. Breaking all 3 shields at once. So although there isn’t necessarily a “time limit” there most definitely is if you have a smaller group that survives but does little damage.
Managed to try my first gmax raid last night with 11 people but failed … after one run everyone just left and couldn't be bothered to try again.. me and my friend wanted to try again. I just wish they made them Tier 5 at the least. I literally powered up pokemon for nothing.
got a 93% metang, not evolving it till december to get meteor mash. No chance of doing any gigantimax raids so no point here
I thinnk they'll release the soup to make your old pokemon gigantimax or dynamax in the future, so I'll wait out grinding and wasting stardust

Unfortunately the difficulty is not the only problem. It is more about the bugs.. dodging, that works only half of the time. Also it never really told us anything so we could not prepare properly. It is completely out of touch with everything else which means non hardcore players won' t bother with upgrading. Imo i would not mind it, if i would be in different part of the world, but as someone who is from very small country i can only go to the capital city and hope for the best.

Sucks they nerfed them. Like seriously I don't even want to do them now. I didn't even think they were that hard to begin with. Day 1 we beat all 3 with only 10.
Like I get it your sub level 40, rural, can't build a community, don't have stardust etc. Etc. But for some of us who have millions of dust, maxed mons, and have a community we want something challenging, something that rewards high level players.
These max raids are very resource heavy and not everybody has few hundred to a few thousand candies/dust laying around to do those g-max raids. This is more of in favor of the people who played since the beginning versus the ones who started playing after. They need to make it more fair play for everyone not exclude people 💯
does max guard let the giga ma monster only attack the person with max guard on ?
The most effective way I've found to defeat Gengar is by organizing the group strategically. Make sure the strongest trainers stick together, with their Pokémon having max gard and max attack. Group the weaker trainers separately. Since their Pokémon are likely to faint first, they can contribute by cheering and helping fill the Dynamax meter faster. This support allows the stronger trainers to stay in the battle longer, deal more damage, and take less damage overall
I had to drive 30 plus minutes each way yesterday. But was able to meetup with a almost 40 person group. And got the shiny on the second raid. 💪🏻. Was able to take it down with as low as 23 on the last one.
