Easy way to find release order for specific Pokemon?

I've recently begun collecting for a complete set of Growlithe and Arcanine cards (working on just Growlithe right now) and I have been looking for the easiest way to find out every card and in the set order. I have looked on Collectr, Coleka and also just googled but I was hoping there's an easier and more accurate way. Collectr doesn't have them in order of release date, Coleka is missing some (shadowless, Topps etc) and google is so draining and also hard to be certain I've gathered all of them.
