Went and bought 22 packs for my 6 year old to start his very own collection. And honestly I’m over the moon about what we got for $80 at dollar general. After going through my own collection that I’ve saved and put up for 20-25 years I got that nostalgia feeling and my 6 year old always wants to see them. So I figured no better time to start him his own.
I taught him how to handle them, pull them, and what to look for. Watching his little face light up on holos was even better than me doing the same as a kid..🥲
I priced the front page of his and found a psa10 fighting energy for $400 on eBay. The pachirisu was decent too. We definitely came out ahead I think but the joy we got to share was soooo valuable to me as a father showing my son these things because I didn’t have a dad growing up and nobody bought me packs… I had to steal (a time or two), save my lawn mowing money, or trade and or gamble to get mine.
