Buy him some Sculpey or Fimo (polymer clay), it hardens in the oven, so those creations will last forever. I’m an artist myself and I can see that he has a lot of talent!

Get that kid some real clay, immediately. There are polymer clays that feel quite similar to play-do, so the jump wouldn’t be too disheartening for him.
But for real, please encourage your brothers incredible artistic talent, and if you needed an idea for a Christmas present for him, clay isn’t too spendy
