Machop is my example. Regular came out. I maxed it. Shadow came out. I maxed it. Now it has a dmax and a gmax. Why power up a dmax when it will eventually have a gmax? So annoying. If you can’t gmax a dmax pokemon then I don’t see a reason to power up a dmax that has a gmax form.
I am like 90% certain they will release Eternatus in Eternamax form as part of a GO Tour or GO Fest
The real question should be "Why should I care about regular Pokemon when a D-Max/G-Max version will powercreep it. I already have strong raid teams. Tapping a screen has gotten boring for me. I appreciate the strategic element of Max raids.
I don't think you need to hold off on every Pokemon or rebuild them once their Dynamax release comes out. Just like in raids, you'll want a select few of the strongest Pokemon that can handle each type and you're set. If you really want to use some random outclassed Pokemon in Max battles then sure but it is absolutely not necessary if you just want to win.

The new future megas will be nice especially audino with its wonderful stardust amount per catch hope that's made more than a limited 3 hour duration to really compile dust! As for powering up it makes most sense only power up counters for the current battles, or the ones immediately proceeding it within the month it's more of a waste of dust just to have a lvl 40 or 50 way early when it's not necessary 😅
Like I'm only powering my Rayquaza I mega evolve, to go beyond lvl 40 up to 50 is because it's the top or very near top counter against mega latias.. and I believe latios too since they're the exact same types, with different stats

But you need the dmax forms to take out the gmax forms so makes more sense to power up all dmax full and leave the gmax as just what they are goof for visually pleasing 😂

Still that 1% that can't stand giantimax and dynamax it's literally does nothing besides one thing be able to use for gigantimax and after that the pokemon are useless and does nothing but take up storage space that makes you have to buy more. Im good

I don’t think any Pokémon will debut just a gmax so this is a feature for people who want this. if you don’t want to do gmax ur not missing out😂
The issue with max battles is they don’t allow Pokemon that can’t dynamax. It feels like you have to start over with a limiter that is max particles. And of course, they have to monetize them as well as max mushrooms.
D-Max and shadow pokemon power creeps normal pokemon. G-max power creeps D-Max pokemon. So normal and d-max pokemon are essentially only worth their catch candy. Then people like me with no community can't G-max, so everything except shadow pokemon is kinda irrelevant now. If atleast d-max battles was a little challenging, it might be something, but unfortunately it's not harder than soloing a lvl 1 raid.

I don't have any Gmax Pokemon sadly, not enough activity in my area and not motivated enough to go somewhere for them. I will say though, at least they seem to be very common Pokemon so that if you have to power them up, generally very easy to have excess candy. Aside from Toxtricity.
As someone who is unable to participate in gigantamax raids I like the max Mondays thing. At least I can do that and MAYBE if there's enough ppl and there's a big event going on then I'll be some what prepared for it

As other people have commented, I believe they'll release Dynamax Candy/Max Soup as items. In the SWSH games the former powered up Dynamax Pokemon's Dynamax level and the latter turned Dynamax Pokemon into Gigantamax Pokemon, but I believe they'll add it to this game (for a fee I'm guessing) allowing non-dmax pokemon to dmax and dmax pokemon with a gmax released to gmax. Although I can see them not releasing this type of item for a while. Also I wouldn't be suprised if, like you mentioned, Eternatus is only released in G-max raids in a special event. Granted I don't think they'd release it before releasing these items (hopefully). I pray that they bring the remote feature to dmax battles regardless of the Campfire update. Excited for Mega Gallade/Audino and Grafaiai, as always, thanks for the content~
Some of us need all the help we can get because we have bills to pay vs pour money into the game. I don't have mons to take on gigantamax as a noob so I have to power up all of the "budget" mons for Gmax battles. Otherwise…how am I supposed to get the next max mons. You're special, you have a lot invested. It doesn't make sense to you. Sorry I'm poor? Lol, some people….

I think it'd be very cool if they found a way to make a league where we could play gigantamax and have Megas involved again
It is very frustrating to know that they were making more money before with the feature that people were willing to throw money at them in remote raids just so that they can take it away and instead then nickel and dime us with all these pain points

Honest question, Why is it that people find it a problem to power up 2 maybe even 3 Pokémon of the same species?
Also if everyone leveled up 1 Dmax counter the raids would be 10x easier but when half of a 40 man lobby goes in with only stage 1 Pokémon that aren't leveled up. I don't see it as a 40 man lobby.
Since the nerf of remote raid pass, most of my leftover local community have lost interest in the game. Now no one around is interested in max raids, partially due to players not willing to start everything over again. I can imagine that introducing terastallize pokemon the same way as Niantic did with dynamax pokemon would be a nail in the coffin of this game.
