Nintendo Switch

Why do I get this screen sometimes

Occasionally when trying to send photos or videos from my switch to my phone I get this instead of the photos from my switch?

Looks like something from your internet provider.

  5. This is the set up screen for your router.

The way that the Nintendo switch shares photos or videos directly to your phone is by creating a WiFi connection that your phone can connect to. And then hosting images so that you can access them using your phone as if it were a website.

That’s why you need to scan TWO QR codes.

The first code connects to the switches WiFi. *This is the step that you or your phone are not doing correctly*

The second code navigates to an IP address where you can see the image.

If you’re still connected to your router (rather than the switches WiFi) then you’ll see something else. Usually nothing. In your case you’re seeing your routers settings page.

it looks like your trying to login to your internet router directly. because most routers use the ip your connecting through. did you scan the qr and linked you to this page or did you manually typed in the IP in your browser?

if this happends from time to time and your not technical. maybe get in touch with an peron who does have basuc knowledge of networking you might change some network settings in the DHCP.

the best way is to reserve the IPs for your router devices so all the other devices in your network get an IP that wont case this issue. (for instance, reserve [192.168.0.1](http://192.168.0.1) till 6 for network devices and let it supply ip adresses after the [192.68.0.7](http://192.68.0.7) adresses. so the switch will get an example ip of [192.168.0.7](http://192.168.0.7) )

hope it helps and enjoy your holidays
