I ordered a couple discounted games from Woot, which is an Amazon subsidiary.
The items were pictured as USA releases with the ESRB rating. The versions I received say they are the Middle East/Southeast Asia versions. However, the stickers on the cartridges say “USA.”
Is this normal for the package and cartridge to be for different markets? The games work fine, but are they counterfeit?

I thought switch was region free so it shouldn’t matter ?

iirc it is normal for woot games to be UAE region and UAE region switch games come with ESRB cartridges. users warn of this often when people post sales from woot for those picky about their case artwork/labels.

This is completely normal – UAE / ‘World’ region Nintendo releases are generally identical to those in North America, with slightly different packaging denoting the region. As of this year, new UAE releases no longer have an ESRB rating on the box.
