For this, I'm going to start a story with each region about why this time is like this
Kanto:
This time has undergone many changes, the only ones that accompanied were Venusaur, Dugtrio and Gengar, because I liked them, the first time I played I used Butterfree mainly because of Ash's farewell with her, it was my first time crying in Pokémon, when I caught Fly, I wanted to give it to her, but unfortunately she doesn't learn, I was sad as a child, because of that I got Fearow on a route nearby and I started to like it, thanks to this event I became a fan of Fearow and not Pidgeot, arriving in Celadon I caught Eevee and evolved it into Vaporeon, even though I liked Joltoen much more, I already had a Pikachu back then, I felt obligated to use Vaporeon. Well, years passed and with a more open and intelligent mind, I decided to take Raichu out of my time and use Jolteon, so Slowbro came in to replace Vaporeon, the reason was because I was the main Slowbro in Unite, 1 year passed and I thought "do I really like Slowbro?" I looked at the Kanto dex and said: "oh Kingler, what a cool Pokémon, that's the one I want to use, so Kingler came into my time as definitive.
Johto:
Starting with the starter, I originally liked Feraligatr the most, but because of Legends Arceus I started to like Typhlosion and he is now part of my team, I always liked Espeon much more than Umbreon, I saw so many videos of people playing SSHG and evolving to Umbreon that I decided to be different, in my first playthrough of Heart Gold I used a Pidgeot but I thought he was horrible so Crobat took his place, this team was supposed to be with Houndoom but that miserable thing can only be found in Kanto, so I decided to use Tyranitar, it was an easier switch, and Scizor I just really liked him.
Hoenn:
I don't need to explain Sceptile, Gardevoir and Aggron, I just like them, I always preferred Altaria over Flygon, I like the concept of her wings being cloud, so I decided to use Manectric and Camerupt, but I felt that my team was too "generic" because of those two, I looked at my Hoenn team with disgust because of those two, so I decided to use Exploud because I think it's funny that a Pokémon that simply has the power to scream and deafen the enemy and Crawdaunt was the best trade I made, I really like Corphish a lot not only because of Ash, but I felt like this Pokémon is SO me.
Sinnoh:
Before, I used the classic and generic Luxray, but during my first time playing Platinum, I found it horrible, it doesn't have proper damage, so I switched to Magnezone, which I really like. Floatzel is because of Ash, I really liked the development of Buizel learning Ice Punch, and Toxicroak is more because I thought it was funny how Brock's Croagunk almost killed him every time Brock got on top of a girl. To my surprise, I really liked Toxicroak, I found it very strong.
Unova:
This was originally supposed to be with Emboar, but in my head I can't have two Pokémon with the same type as the starter, so I switched to Samurott, Legends Arceus helped me like it, before I used a Haxorus and an Eelektross, I think Haxorus was because I had a McDonald's Axel doll so I ended up liking it, but not that much, then I realized how much I love Reuniclus' design, I love how this Pokémon is a DNA, I don't know how to explain it, I think it's one of those cases where I just really like it for no apparent reason, I switched Eelektross for the simple reason that it's a pain to catch the damn Tynamo in the Chargestone Cave and why Galvantula? It's because of the Pokémon competition,
Sticky Web plays
Kalos:
The only Pokémon on my Kalos team that has changed is Goodra. I wanted to use a Mega Garchomp, but then I remembered that XY is a terrible game and that I can get all the Megas in the post-game, so I said: "Nah, better use Goodra." I really liked Goodra. I wanted to comment on Aurorus, it was the first fossil that I found even remotely interesting. It's because you can get an Amaura before the 2nd gym, why not use it?
Alola:
This was the team that underwent the most changes until it reached the final version. I really like grass-type Pokémon, but unfortunately I didn't like Tsareena and Lurantis. However, Decidueye won my heart. Even though I didn't like Tsareena and Lurantis, Salazze caught my attention, mainly because of its typing. I think it's poison and fire, because its poison is so strong that it burns the enemy. I looked at Palossand and said: "Man, he's a sand castle, hmm. Why not use him?" Another thing that made me love Palosand is the shiny. When I was a kid, I thought that instead of sand, it was coal, but there really is black sand. I simply joined Lycanroc like everyone else. Why not use him? He's cool? So I got to the last two that I couldn't decide who it would be. In the first version it was Sandslash and Golem from Alola, but Golem is for trading so I gave up on it. When I was playing Moon I realized that I could only use Sandslash AFTER the MAIN events of the story?! I would only use it in the elite four, it wouldn't be fun. Good thing that in the Ultra versions that was rushed, so whatever, I'm going to use Golisopod, which I found on Poni Island and loved it. I found it very, VERY strong. And Toucannoun, I used it because I thought Pikipek was cute, yep, I'm going to use it.
Galar:
From Galar onwards I was already mature enough to not have that many trades. Before that I used a Coalossal but after Ash had his Sirfetch'd I started to really like this Pokémon. I looked at Coalossal and said: "he's cool but is that all?" I liked Frosmoth being an ice Volcarona, I really liked it.
Paldea:
This was the first one I REALLY wanted to use a fire starter because Fuecoco is an alligator, which is my favorite animal in real life. I was really happy with how Skelerdirge came out exactly as I expected. One thing I don't like so much is that the Paldea region has a lot of ghost types. I really wanted to use a Houndstone, but he's a ghost. I only put Brambleghast on the team because I thought he was weird and cool. I really liked Revavroom because he's a "car" Pokémon, but he's actually an engine. I named my Revavroom "Hot Wheels" because he reminded me a lot of one.
Garganacl is funny because I wanted to use it because it's literally salt and a Minecraft Pokémon. I found that really funny. And Tinkaton is Tinkaton. Why wouldn't you use Tinkaton? She's Tinkaton why not use a Tinkaton, get out of here if you didn't use a Tinkaton in Scarlet & Violet
So happy new year.
