We purchased a Nintendo Switch oled Mario Kart deluxe bundle from Walmart that was setup on Christmas. The next day we woke up to the "green blinking light of death." After troubleshooting on our own and with Nintendo support we were unable to get it working. Walmart says I can return it for a refund and purchase another console, but now they're sold out of the ones bundled with Mario Kart. So I was thinking I would buy it without, hoping I could still access the one I downloaded using the code from the bundled set. Would I be able to access that Mario Kart? When I look online at my Nintendo transactions, for Mario Kart instead of a transaction number it says "products bundled with console."
The other option would be to send our not working switch to Nintendo for possible repair under warranty. I don't care for that option because they said if they can't repair it they will send us a factory certified switch and I would rather have a new one since we recently purchased it. And they also said turn around time is 2-3 weeks, so going through Walmart would be much quicker.
Also, I'm not interested in purchasing a Switch or Switch bundle from a different retailer that may have it in stock. Walmart has promised they will adjust the price of a new Switch to reflect the Black Friday price we paid for our Christmas one.
