    The f**k is this s**t? Tired of these clickbaity individuals that want their 5 minute of game saying it’s Nintendo’s end, Switch is not gonna sell and they’re gonna stop making consoles. Just STFU already.

  3. their innovation was in the form of the original switch 8 years ago. The upgrade this time is comparable to the DS and 3DS which is to say its just refinement

    They’ve literally teased that we can use our joycons as a mouse. Seems pretty innovative to me.

    I don’t know man, PC has been the same since forever.

    People are being strangely melodramatic about the reveal.

    We’ve seen a 2-minute teaser of the console. Guess that’s enough to judge the entire next Nintendo generation.

    We’ll have to wait till April to see more about this console. One of the reports Nintendo put out before said they wouldn’t want to jump console generations unless they had something significant. So I’m holding out hope it’s more than what it seems.

    But even if it’s not, I don’t think it’s disappointing by any means. Most of the criticism for Switch I see is about how underpowered it is. Nothing wrong with just having a stronger sequel system. Seems like the right move

    they team up with Meta to allow Quest headsets to work with Switch 2. metroid prime 4 in vr is the proof

    They literally sold us Cardboard a few years back. I’m sure Switch 2 will get some LABO equivalent weird gimmick that will make people go “Oh that WACKY Nintendo of mine!” *insert laughtrack*

    Why is everyone acting as if this is some sort of unprecedented move from Nintendo?

    They always have a console with a brand new concept which is then followed up by an iterative successor which improves upon it without making any radical changes.

    NES -> SNES (2D sprite-based console)

    N64 -> Gamecube (fully 3D gaming)

    Wii -> Wii U (motion controls)

    GB -> GBA (2D portable console)

    DS -> 3DS (dual screens and portable 3D games)

    Switch -> Switch 2 (hybrid console)

    None of the second consoles in the list were particularly groundbreaking, more like iterations of the previous console with a few new features. The Wii U is probably the biggest outlier with its unique controller but it still followed a lot of the Wii philosophy.

    My god, so much doom and gloom on this subreddit. Literally all we know about the console is a small teaser.

    Bro was not alive during the GB to GBA era or earlier.

    Hell DS to 3DS aswell

    Nintendo when they insist on gimmicks that nobody likes or wants to use = bad

    Nintendo when they insist the gimmicks everybody loves = bad

    Also, can People stop lying about every successor being revolutionary? Because that’s not true, half of it were natural evolution.

    Everyone forgetting about the mouse-joycons 🙁 Isnt it innovative enough?
