The more the merrier.

Dub after dub after dub from Microsoft lately. New Ninja Gaiden, new Doom, and they’re seemingly ditching the exclusivity business model? What a win for gamers.
Khalmoon
Xbox about to be the new Sega.

Imagine halo collection on switch far out i know

What does this mean? Games that are typically Xbox exclusive available on Switch?

Xbox: “Our people are now buying your blue jeans and listening to your pop music.”

Phil Spencer absolutely still wants Microsoft to buy Nintendo, remember this shit folks.
No one take this seriously: Phil acts like a gamer, but is absolutely business oriented. Again, he obviously can’t get what he wants.

Some collaboration between the two companies could be amazing even beyond the potential games. I love Nintendo, but there are some things that Xbox does better. Xbox blows Nintendo away in terms of their system interface and digital store. I also much prefer Xbox’s generous multi-system household rules – all digital purchases can be played at any time on up to two systems. Nintendo’s primary/secondary set up is better than nothing, but it’s clearly geared more toward preventing multi-household sharing rather than prioritizing the gaming experience for households with more than one device.

As someone who still games on the Xbox One, I will be super pleased if Switch 2 can natively run the Series X/S titles I haven’t been able to play yet.

“Congrats on doing what we never could – having a simple, easy to remember console naming system, despite our trillions net worth”

That’s good to hear. Hoping a Banjo Kazooie revival is one of those games.

I think Sony and Microsoft have to both know Nintendo isn’t a massive threat, nor is Nintendo trying to be a threat. Nintendo has realized they can’t compete with Sony and Microsoft in the home console market, so Nintendo found a niche (console that works at home or on the go, but isn’t as powerful) and leaned way into it.
Now, most gamers and gaming families I know have a Switch AND either an Xbox or a PlayStation. It’s almost like having a Switch is a given, and the real question is between Sony and Microsoft.

Phil out here supporting every system but his own. A true dead beat dad of gaming.

Forza Horizon on switch, leggo

Recall all the times people said Nintendo should be the ones to go third-party and bring their games to Xbox.

Since I own both consoles this would be a W for me

I wish they would partner with Nintendo to create a new Banjo in the Mario Odyssey style, that would be amazing!

Makes sense, MS wants to be present on a platform with a sustainable user base. They’ve basically self-sabotaged the Xbox ecosystem over the last decade.

Good ol Nintendo, all take and no give.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that so many comments here are speculating on “what this means,” when the article states what it means, and mentions nothing about GamePass. They’re bringing some games to the Switch 2 like Halo, Diablo 4, and MS Flight Simulator.
Koggdo
Please let this be the beginning of the end for complete platform exclusivity, it’s getting so expensive and exhausting keeping track of what is and isn’t available on four seperate platforms.
Bigbootybimboslayer
What if Sony follows suit and it’s the holy trinity of Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation all combining their strengths
You’d get a powerful home console (PlayStation) with a good Hybrid option (Nintendo) and all three libraries at your disposal
Might as well just add steam too. Only monopoly I’m okay with
LickSomeToad
Can someone help clarify, are they saying they would bring Xbox Cloud gaming to switch or running games natively?

Can we get the Rareware collection and KI?
