Though the Island Guardians and their Wardens defended the islands, unique particles spread, creating power spots similar to Galar. Now, Professor Sonia has arrived to the region to research them. With Junior Professor Maple’s help, Sonia has discovered the energy from the Power Spots are extremely similar to the Ultra Energy which spouts from Ultra Wormholes. As a result, many new Gigantamax Pokemon have been discovered, Gigantamax Dragapult being discovered by none other than the Elite Four member Acerola! It’s Dragon-type moves change into G-Max Air Raid! In addition to dealing damage to the target, all non-Dragon-type opponents are then damaged for four turns by ghastly drakes!*

Really cool! I would only say, maybe there should be ten of the preevolutions flying around to match the number of slots and maybe balance the sillhouette a bit. I can tell youre playing with numbers with the ratios of the preevolutions. Maybe its just me being anal but another way would be adding one more slot on each wing to make an even 12 and have the ratio be 1:3:9 (Dragapult:Drakloak:Dreepy).
Other than the numbers, I honestly dont know how the gen 8 devs missed on a G-Max Dragapult like this. Your swarm idea makes way more sense conceptually than the swarm around G-Max Corviknight.
Considering this was the three stage pseudo legendary dragon of its game, it really should have had its own g-max form.

Normal: Goldaries an evolved form of Dubwool, gold in color to represent the golden fleece, and Aries to represent the ram of the Zodiac constellations.

Electric: Lighthoven (Lightning and Beethoven the Dog) and evolved form of Bolthund.
Rock: Coalossal.
Ground: Deserlisk (Desert and Basilisk), an evolved form of Sandaconda.
Poison: Toxguitar (Toxic and Guitar) an evolved form of Toxtricity.
Ghost: Phylacteary (phylactery with the word tea within the word), an evolved form of Poltergeist.
Psychic: Mr. Rime.

Guys I think something weird might be going on in Alola.
G-Max Dragapult has normal size Dragapults, then those normal Dragapults have their standard Dreepy’s in it.

As a shiny dragapult fan I approve
