Don’t waste your money on these knockoff “Harvest Moon” games. They’re that in title only. Story of Seasons is what you want.

After a new beginning and the split happened…these games were just not great. I liked the idea of block by block terraforming but didn’t delve too deep into it. If I recall there isn’t even a village, at least in the first one..the npcs just randomly visit? I think…it’s been a while

I don’t know what it is about harvest Moon but I can’t get into them or the story of seasons. I just don’t like the way the games are made I guess. They’re just cheap. When they started making them for the Wii they turned to shit. I can’t tell you how many hours I have in harvest Moon 64

These are both terrible entries into the “Harvest Moon” genre.

    Stick with Story of Seasons.

This games look like cheap phone games

  6. From what I understand some of the newer Harvest Moon games are okay, but if these are ports of DS games they’re gonna be trash.

Terraforming and crop mutations were at least interesting but TLV was very empty feeling

I totally read this as “HATSUNE’S COZY BUNDLE” and thought it was another Miku game. I need sleep.

New Beginning was the last good Harvest Moon game.

Why are we posting twitter links in 2025?

Man my heart skipped for a moment. I thought it was going to be Harvest Moon Duo of Towns and Harvest Moon Trio Of Towns. Otherwise I’ll pass. Ugh darn it

These are the knock off ones made by the people who got the IP’s name right?

You can’t pay me to play these games

Please don’t buy these “Harvest Moon” games, they’re just knock off scams

  15. Pikminious_Thrious

Selling their absolute worst games to try to scrape a couple thousand sales out before the end of the year.

No thanks. Call me when we get Story of Seasons. Natsume stole the harvest moon name. I’d like a Magical melody remake

  17. PCP_Panda

Stardew Valley is the only game that has had harvest moon snes,n64 and ps1 quality

  18. FallenRaptor

Ah, the fake offshoot that retains the name and nothing else. I’ve never played these because I found out pretty much right away that Story of Seasons is the true continuation of the Harvest Moon series.

I will admit there is a small part of me that’s curious, so it’s good to know all of these games are on Switch now. Not enough to actually buy this, mind you. Maybe I would consider it if it went on sale for really cheap at some point on the eShop down the road…and even then, I probably wouldn’t bother, but it’s good to know the option to play these on Switch exists.

Lost Valley kinda sucked, but I loved Skytree Village. It’s good if you’re looking for a challenge when it comes to hunting down mutations since there are soooo many things that can influence the mutation odds. It was a lot of fun experimenting with everyone else playing to figure it all out when it first came out.

Why can’t anyone remake Grand Bazaar? I want one so bad

  21. kogami24

I wish this would entice Marvelous to remaster some older BokuMono titles (the real Harvest Moon before the split) into modern consoles like what they did to Rune Factory 3 and 4… but I guess they would rather do full-blown remakes instead, which obviously takes longer

A cash grab for mediocre products.
