Hey All! So a few years ago I went searching for the very first English Pokémon Ad. I, myself, have not played since Silver but my wife loves everything Pokémon and I really enjoy the gaming history of it all. I found this Ad in the Nintendo Power magazine VOL 98. It's from July 1997. In it, we see it advertised heavily as pocket monsters (but does have the terms Pokémon in the article). I have seen VHS ads that were posted to reddit years ago but are unsure of the year. I know red and blue were released here in SEP 1998. I have not been able to find anything earlier than this. I have stopped sleuthing for a little bit but something sparked my curiosity recently and figured if anyone else had any information.
I love gaming history and I am fascinated about the idea that at this one point in time, kids and young adults read this Ad about the future biggest media franchise and knew nothing about it becasue it was literally the first things published about here.
