Oh kiss my arse nintendo, there wouldn’t be a market for it if you kept to demand and what the market wants.
People want merch, and you refuse to provide people with merch, and you refuse to provide them amiibos with your disney vault bs tactics.

Ok but what about custom Amiibo figures based on memes?

Why did Amazon also have to sue, couldn’t they just not allow them to sell on their website? Is the process of selling on Amazon THAT automated now?

I get it from a IP protection standpoint but man…doing a lawsuit against counterfeit amiibo in the year 2025 just seems a bit excessive when Nintendo themselves barely gives a shit about amiibo at this point. They barely release new ones and what was the last game Nintendo released that actually supported amiibo? If this lawsuit came out in 2014 or 15 at the hype/peak of amiibo, I would be more inclined to side with Nintendo but at this point, It just feels like Nintendo is trying to get after an easy quick bag via a lawsuit.

Those makers won’t have legal issues if they licensed their products. 8Bitdo, Power A make stuff that Nintendo does not (esp controllers) but Nintendo isn’t suing them.

I just buy RFID tags. They take up much less space and perform the same function.
PocketTornado
I remember when they first came out and only cost $12 CAD each. I just strolled into Walmart and bought the entire set before going to work.

I mean this is a good thing lol. If I want an Amiibo for collection or viewing/display purposes, I’d like to get a real Amiibo. If I just want the Amiibo functionality, I’ll just get NFC cards in bulk and get those scanned instead.

Nobody tell Nintendo about Flipper Zero.

Oops… I picked up one those sets. The artwork they printed on the rfid cards was terrible.
