I know Hopper and Tropper are lazy designs, even their names are lazy. it's coz I intended them to be “filler pokémons” to make way to what I actually wanted to create—Zopper, based off of a grasshopper (or locust) infected by horsehair worms. As for its lore, the Hopper is already dead and is being controlled by the “worm.” yeah sounds exactly like a Parasect.
Tropper on the other hand evolves into another creature (not shown here) inspired by the ant-mimicking treehopper.
