Yes, the spelling is on purpose. Basically one of my interests that happens to overlap a bit with Pokémon is evolution/palentology, so I was thinking up ancestors to Pokémon when this guy popped into my head.
I was thinking it could be acquired the same way other fossil Pokémon would? Also it would be very flexible in terms of learnable TM's, almost like Mew?
