the initial design in my head was completely different. as soon as I read about the gun, I wanted to create an ice-type snake fakemon. the first type of snake that came to mind was the spitting cobra since it actually shoots its venom into the air.
as I was drafting the design, I was reminded of the already existing secret agent pokémon which is Inteleon. so my lazy ass just said okay just turn Inteleon into a snake. it already has the slender body and the flappy thing to begin with. i didn't want it to make a lot like Inteleon so I reshaped the head and added the purple. And rather than shooting the venom from its mouth, it's gonna shoot it from its tail, burrowing a rattlesnake's rattle for the design.
I finished the design and reread the gun's description. I just noticed that it was a shellfish toxin (maybe from a cone snail? i didn't make further research coz I don't really care) but this made me think I could have also made a cone snail fakemon that shoots ice-coated toxin.
