A few months ago, I posted this drawing seeking motivation to color it. I received a lot of positive feedback; enough to follow through with my attempt at completing the concept. At the time, it had been YEARS since I’d colored any of my drawings. Needless to say, after being out of practice for so long, I was a bit rusty and lacked my usual meticulousness. I guess i was confident that if i did make any mistakes, i would find a way to incorporate them into the drawing.
Well, i was wrong. I failed to predict how dark the red copic markers were (ik, i should’ve tested them) and they are not redeemable mistakes 😅 so I’m posting this here to show anyone who might’ve been looking forward to it, because I have no idea when I’ll start this over tbh. I do appreciate those who commented on my previous post, though, because I’m not sure i would’ve ever attempted finishing this concept if it hadn’t been for them. (I’ll try referencing the post in the comments, but I’m not very Reddit savvy so no promises). Thanks again for all your kind words of encouragement and i hope i can manage to muster up the confidence to restart. Rip to this little fireball, though 🥲
