My LCS was trying to get me to pay $75 for a Stellar Crown ETB. I refuse to pay above MSRP for these cards so I went slumming it with Battle Styles at $50.
It’s just going to be singles for me from now on until this madness ends.

I’ve found burning skies a lot. Walmart did a restock and I got like 15 boosters and there was still another 40 on the shelf

I don’t know what kind of story you’re trying to weave here, but this is completely on distributors, scalpers, online influencers, and the volatility of the community. In general people do not know how to act civilized. Everyone’s trying to make a buck in an already messed up inflated economy. That’s how far down the bar has been lowered. There are so many nuances to this. To sit here and just cast blame towards card sets as the issue paints a pretty narrow picture that ignores everything going on.
The silly thing is 151 was in abundance for a good while, it was never part of the problem, it’s only just been dragged into it now it’s gone out of print

I’m still baffled by surging Sparks. Like yeah it had the Pikachu but I can’t think of anything else that was in that set that made it worth the price gouge it experienced.
I mean… at least I was able to get my hands on a few Surging Sparks packs..

151 was a god send and available 1 million times more than surging and prismatic. The real ring leader is Greninja. That was the beginning of “we can manipulate these dumbasses if we want”.
Can’t even picture finding any sets newer than stellar crown in a store anymore. Just accepted it’ll a year of obsidian flames in collection boxes at best
Got 2 booster bundles from prismatic, opened 12 packs… I got a whole lotta nothing. A masterball shaymin, an ogerpon ex, and a pikachu ex. why is prismatic booste rbundles like this.
