So since X (formerly known as Twitter) now allows extremist views and hate speech and is actively interfering with foreign elections, I thought it would be a good idea for us collectively to ask Nintendo to either move or also start posting on Bluesky or Mastodon or both, whatever they choose.
**Before anyone feels attacked, I don't have a problem with anyone here who uses X. You don't have to care about this.**
I know petitions almost never achieve anything, especially with Nintendo, but I made one anyway just because it's pretty easy to do:

They don’t repost immediately so it’s not good to keep up with the tweets, but it’s a good alternative if you want to personally get off Twitter entirely.

I don’t know if this is as easy as you think, unfortunately. Last I checked, Nintendo of America used Hootsuite to automate their posts, which doesn’t support Bluesky [despite having had a blog post about it](https://blog.hootsuite.com/what-is-bluesky/). They could jury rig something with Fedica (which I use) but if NoA is still using Hootsuite, they may be not posting to Bluesky because they can’t with their current tools.
That being said, I personally am trans and do not feel comfortable at all being on Twitter due to…. literally everything that is going on right now. Besides, the platform is garbage.
I’d love if NoA would post there. Maybe we should contact Hootsuite as well…? Can anyone else determine if NoA still uses Hootsuite?

Anything to be posted on social media has to be approved by a chain of people including people from Nintendo of Japan. One time a social media person from NoA got in trouble from Nintendo of Japan for trying to post an Animal Crossing gif saying spend your tax refund on Nintendo games (From Kit & Krysta Podcast). Getting Nintendo to go all in on Bluesky would be a slow process since that’s the speed business stuff in Japan moves.
Doesn’t matter to me one way or another, but i don’t see why it would be difficult for multi billion dollar company to cross post stuff on multiple platforms. Hell, im surprised they don’t own this subreddit.
