He found it for $50 at this random thrift style liquidation shop he goes to pretty often. Totally unexpected. The staff even gave him a weird look because he never buys anything like this. He’s usually just into machinery stuff as a hobbyist. But once he said it was for his wife, they totally got it. I’m always the one buying random anime characters and stuff so it all made sense. Just waiting for the weekend. Finishing up a bunch of work stuff today, but I can’t wait to just sit with it and appreciate how awesome this is. Confirm legit as there just so happen to be a collector there that saw him with it and couldn’t believe it.

People saying it’s impossible are wrong, there’s an antique like thrift store about 20 mins from me that has so much pokemon and it’s really funny because they don’t understand that the old stuff is more expensive, they also don’t price anything correctly, a crazy good card can be $6 bucks and a common card will be priced $11
My first gen was the XY era. This is so nostalgic for me. Have fun opening the packs if you so choose. Make it an event, savor every moment. Cool find!
