Mongall Pokédex Entry
Despite their small size, Mongall have very sharp teeth that they use to carve into their food. They often target Snekei as their prey of choice, hopping around and dodging each of their attacks. Their nimble bodies are much tougher than they look, easily brushing off puncture wounds. This is clearly evidenced by the large scar streaking across their body that almost all Mongall have present.
Murkroose Pokedex Entry
Murkroose get into violent brawls with Kokobrule, where only one leaves alive, typically Murkroose. It’s not uncommon to find a Murkroose dragging a lifeless Kokobrule across the forests earth to its den. Murkroose are incredibly tricky creatures, rarely falling for Kokobrule’s hypnotic dance. The deeper and more prevalent a Murkrooses scars are, the more Kokobrule it has defeated.
Snekei Pokédex Entry
Snekei and Mongall are constantly fighting each other, though Snekei typically lose these fights. Snekei also despise other Snekei, leading to very short and not very prosperous mating seasons. When spotting a human, they show their hoods and begin to sway side to side, attempting to hypnotize them into feeding them. This rarely succeeds, as Snekei’s hypnotism is hardly convincing.
Kokobrule Pokedex Entry
Kokobrule are extremely territorial, getting into violent fights with other Kokobrule that often end with the stronger one eating the weaker one. They rule over these territories with vicious force, no matter how disadvantages the location they chose was. The patterns under their hoods encapsulate their foes, disorienting them so Kokobrule can either leap in for the kill, or force them to feed it. The only thing Kokobrule hates more than another Kokobrule are Murkroose, who they attack on sight.
Kokobrule are based on king snakes. Kings have high power and authority, based on Kokobrule being viciously territorial. The king snake aspect comes in with its cannibalistic tendencies, as king snakes from real life mostly predate on other snakes, like how Kokobrule devours other Kokobrule (it’s ability, territorial, also makes it deal more damage to others, as if it’s cannibalizing them). This is also because war between two kingdoms often leads to them (metaphorically) eating each other, leading to the downfall of one or both. Kokobrule are also incredibly lazy, laying back and waiting for their own prey to feed them. This is because of the concept of rich people being fat bumbling pigs, ripe to be eaten by the lower classes, or each other. Oh yeah also snake charmer stuff.
Meanwhile, Murkroose is based on assassins who take down the corrupt king. They aren’t tricked by the kings promises of riches (Kokobrule’s hypnotism) and take them down swiftly. They are also based on the “eat the rich” saying, since they, well uh, eat Kokobrule. The guts ability is not only based on Mongooses natural resistance to cobra venom, but also the common motif of the assassins drink. Specifically, the scene where Jack Sparrow drank his own poison and survived, while the other guy didn’t. Idk if that’s accurate I haven’t seen the movie in a really long time. It’s also kinda built to counter Kokobrule, with its cocky grin ability blocking intimidate, and how it’s both immune to psychic and super effective against it, along with crunch being boosted by strong jaw. Not to mention it gets stronger if Kokobrule poisons it.
