TPC could learn a thing or two from Nintendo on anti-scalper rules for the TCG

As we all know, Nintendo just announced pre-orders for Switch 2 and the guidelines are probably making scalpers crash out:

  1. People with 50 play hours on their Switch account and a Nintendo Online subscription get first dibs (as of today).
  2. You sign into your Nintendo account to sign up by email with a personalized, non-transferrable link to pre-order that expires after 72 hours.
  3. Limit 1 unit and 1 accessory per account.

Obviously a console is a completely different beast than TCG but the fact that TPC still does a free-for-all online queue rather than linking it to specific account or purchase limits is insane and intentional. If they wanted to, they could, as Nintendo's guidelines show.
