They way I do hatch days is I use them to clear out my old eggs and fill up with event eggs then hatch those for free over time.

This hatch day was extremely lack luster. I played just because i didn't own a shiny Tyrogue i used my 1 incubator and the 1 we got for free, hatched 6 eggs and got it then i was done. Hopefully they implement something fun in the future!

So whatcha f you're not interested? Don't make a video . I spent 5usd and got 2 , kept the rest of the incubators . All in all I still have spent like 0.01% of what you have
Being a level 50 trainer the last thing I need is a Tryog. Why can't Niantic put something like a Varoom pokemon in the eggs. Didn't even bother placing an egg in an incubator. In other words could Niantic give it some thought next time.

Another idea to help generate appeal for this event: free incubators that expire at the end of the event if not used. I recognize that we all just want free incubators but that's just not gonna happen. This would be a reasonable middle ground that makes 2km eggs more appealing. I'm not wasting my good incubators on this event.
Lets just hope the sparring partners raid day isn’t gonna be hitmonchan & hitmonlee.
For me the main issue of hatch days is that I am already going out for walks daily to progress in other parts of pogo and then the weekly raid hour/raid day etc, if on top of that you add a day where we need to walk EVEN MORE just to get a bad pokemon with bad stats and not shiny nah I am not even trying because that's just too much physical activity, I rather just rest so I can be fresh for MAX Mondays.
Now for me hatch days would be interesting IF we got:
-Actual good pokemons or much better stats chances
-1/4 or even 1/5 egg hatch distance buff, non negotiable
-A way to farm for Incubators or maybe 5 incubators per week or something so we can actually be excited about eggs
Otherwise to me hatching eggs is BY FAR the absolute worst mechanic in the entire game by a gigantic margin, but if we could farm incubators + getting the buff that would already motivate me to go out even if the pokemon was bad.

I would participate and be excited about hatch days if I was able to get free extra incubators because it’s very rare that I have more than just my one infinite.

Well I was happy🙂 been playing since the start and never managed a shiny HitmonLee, or a shiny tyrogue with the attack stat. So I hatched one in the first batch today and the chilled using the free incubator 🙂
I was spending time with visiting family, so just grabbed a few eggs on the way to their home. I also have a few hundo Tyrogue and all the family as shiny. So this event also didn't interest me.
I think a Munchlax or Toxel hatch day would be cool however. I don't have Snorlax or Toxitricity hundos. Mime Jr. would also be really cool, especially if you could pick to evolve them to Galarian Mr. Mime or Kantonian Mr. Mime. They wouldn't do that because they are annoying with regionals, but I think that'd be a more exciting event than a Tyrouge hatch day.

I hatched all my eggs the day before and then collected 9 and hatched with the free incubator. I got the shiny at the 6. Egg and was happy. One more shiny for the jotho dex
I don’t mind them, I don’t do a lot of hatching on paid incubators so despite being a daily player for 8 years I don’t have many of the baby shinys. I just hate the ‘pre-clear’ of eggs you have to do which adds to the cost. I’d like it if there was a one time opportunity to delete eggs at the start of a hatch day so you can gather 9 new ones and hatch at your leisure or start without the stress of clearing and having to remember not to spin a stop for hours beforehand
Make it more exciting? Maybe give us incubators and super incubators from spinning gyms and stops. And increase the hatch stardust you get based on how many incubators you aquire or something. Im just spitballing here

I was interested in this event because I didn’t have most of its family of shinnies and I wanted to get at least one of each as a hundo. I still only have 1 hundo that I am keeping as tyrogue but I also finally have enough shinnies for each stage so I am more than happy about that. I definitely wish hatch events and even some community days would have like 3 species of Pokémon instead of just 1 and last more than 3 hours long though. Like give us a community day classic with all 3 starters from a generation not just the one starter every other month it’s boring that way and this way would make it much more enjoyable.
I hatched some, somehow I had never gotten shiny Tyrogue. I just used the incubators I already had, though. They could do Pokemon other than babies, like increased chance of the rare ones, like Shroodle, Larvesta, etc.
